The 7th “Young Navoi Scholars” conference dedicated to the memory of the Hero of Uzbekistan Suyima Ganiyeva was held
On May 7, 2026, the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, in collaboration with the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held the 7th traditional “Young Navoi Scholars” conference dedicated to the memory of the Hero of Uzbekistan, laureate of the Beruni State Prize, Professor Suyima Ganiyeva.
The conference was opened by the Rector of TSUOS, Professor Gulchekhra Rikhsiyeva. During the event, academic presentations were delivered by Professor Aftondil Erkinov of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Head of Department Salimakhon Eshonova of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Director Gulabza Karshieva of the Kamoliddin Behzod Museum of Oriental Miniature Art, Associate Professor Abdumurod Tilovov of Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, and Head of Department Elmira Khazratkulova of the State Museum of the History of the Temurids.
The conference focused on key issues in Navoi studies, with special attention given to enhancing the scientific potential of young researchers and promoting the heritage of Alisher Navoi. Scholars presented reports on manuscript interpretations, literary approaches, and contemporary research in Navoi studies. In addition, the conference included sectional sessions organized within the framework of the event.
