An event was held within the framework of the “Reading Hour” initiative jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies
On October 7 this year, a spiritual and educational event was held within the framework of the “Reading Hour” initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of a number of responsible staff members and students of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.

During the event, Rustam Mirvohid, Head of the Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Enlightenment Department at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philology and poet, spoke about the antiquity, richness and distinctive features of the Uzbek language. He also recited excerpts from masterpieces of national literature and created a warm and positive atmosphere for the participants.


In addition, a literature-themed “Knowledge Competition” was organized among ministry employees. Following the results of the competition, the winners were duly awarded by responsible staff members of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
The event contributed to promoting a culture of reading, further increasing interest in national literature, and enriching the spiritual and educational environment.
