03.11.2026, 16:00 News 54

On October 21 of this year, during the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s visit to the Kashkadarya region, it was recommended that the effective practices developed at Karshi State University, known as the “Kashkadarya Experience,” be implemented across all higher education institutions in the country. These practices encompass the digitalisation of higher education institutions, the organisation of academic processes, student employment, infrastructure development, and the establishment of university–industry partnerships.

Currently, rectors of higher education institutions from across the Republic are on an official working visit to Karshi State University to familiarise themselves with this experience.

The visit is attended by Professor S.A. Nasirova, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, and Z.I. Alimov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

The agenda includes a number of pressing issues aimed at fundamentally improving the higher education system. In particular, the seminar provides an opportunity to examine in detail the effective practices developed at Karshi State University, collectively known as the “Kashkadarya Experience,” which have already demonstrated positive results in the following areas:

  • The widespread introduction of modern information and communication technologies and artificial intelligence into academic and administrative processes;
  • Improving the quality of education in accordance with international standards and applying advanced teaching technologies;
  • Creating systematic conditions to ensure decent employment opportunities for graduates and enable students to earn additional income during their free time;
  • Modernising the university’s material and technical infrastructure in line with contemporary requirements;
  • Ensuring the direct employment of graduates through the integration of science and industry.

The event serves as an important platform for dialogue and the exchange of best practices among higher education institutions across the country.
