Professors and faculty members from Shaanxi Normal University visited TSUOS
From April 19 to 22, 2026, within the framework of strengthening academic cooperation, fostering mutual exchanges, developing bilateral relations, and discussing relevant issues related to the history of China and border studies, the Shaanxi Normal University delegation visited TSUOS.

The delegation included the following professors:
– Guo Xianghong — Deputy Dean of the Institute of Regional Studies;
– Kang Lina — Associate Professor of the Institute of Regional Studies;
– Chen Dongjie — Deputy Director of the Central Asia Research Center at the Institute of Regional Studies.
During the visit, within the program, a roundtable discussion was held with the head of the Department of Eastern Countries’ History, Sh. Ikromov, the head of the International Relations Department, Sh. Salimov, and faculty members and students specializing in Chinese studies: K. Imonomazarova and M. Kubbaliyeva.
The cooperation topics discussed included:
1. Research on the historical relations between the peoples of Central Asia and China;
2. Joint creation of educational materials on Chinese history and translation of sources into Uzbek;
3. Strengthening scientific research on regional connectivity and transport issues amid the construction of railways between Orenburg, Kyrgyzstan, and China.
Additionally, Guo Xianghong delivered a lecture titled:
“Chinese History: Wisdom, Harmony, and the Silk Road Civilization.”
The lecture was held on April 20 at 14:30 in the Department of Eastern Countries’ History and Chinese Studies. Students, postgraduates, researchers, and faculty members participated.
During the lecture, unique similarities and relations between China and the peoples of Central Asia, the importance of interregional connections, and their historical significance were highlighted.
