The XII Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic “Historical Processes in Eastern Countries and Current Issues in Their Study”
The Department of History and Anthropology of Eastern Countries at TSUOS held the XII Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic “Historical Processes in Eastern Countries and Current Issues in Their Study.”
The conference brought together leading scholars, professors, young researchers, and master’s students from various higher educational and research institutions across the country. During the event, participants delivered scientific presentations on modern methodologies for studying the history of Eastern countries, as well as on the connection between historical processes and today’s geopolitical and cultural developments.
In addition, within the framework of the conference, a roundtable discussion and lectures dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the prominent orientalist scholar Professor Temur Giyosov were organized. The discussions focused on the study of Indian history, culture, and international relations in Uzbekistan. Special attention was paid to Professor Temur Giyosov’s significant contribution to the development of Oriental studies in Uzbekistan and to the establishment of the national school of Indology.
At the conclusion of the conference, participants put forward proposals and recommendations aimed at expanding scientific cooperation, supporting young researchers, and promoting in-depth studies of the history of Eastern countries.
