“Folklore of the peoples of the East – a reflection of national values”
The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, joint with the Research Center for the Study of Culture and Heritage of the East at TSUOS and the Department of Oriental Literature and Comparative Literary Studies held an international conference on the topic “Folklore of the peoples of the East – a reflection of national values”. The conference was attended by professors and teachers of TSUOS, specialists from Turkey, Russia, India, Korea, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, specialists of research centers of our republic, famous folklorists. The exchange of experience and opinions took place, cooperation between them strengthened. Scientific discussions and round tables on topical issues of folklore studies were organized within the framework of the conference. Following the results of the conference, a collection was published. The collection includes articles on Uzbek, Turkish, Arabic, Japanese, Indian, Afghan, Iranian, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, Azerbaijani, Kazakh folklore.
