The “10th Forum of Young Orientalists,” dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of Shoislom Shomuhamedov
On April 16, 2026, the “10th Forum of Young Orientalists,” dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the birth of Shoislom Shomuhamedov, was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
The forum was opened by the Rector of the university, Professor Gulchekhra Rikhsiyeva. The event was attended by Professor of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Saidakbar Agzamxodjayev, Zohidullo Munavvarov, as well as the daughter of Shoislom Shomuhamedov — Zamira Shomuhamedova.
During the forum, certificates were awarded to the following students who were granted the special scholarship named after Suyima G‘aniyeva: Toshtemirova Shohsanam Sherali qizi, Mirsaidova Ozoda Nazirjon qizi, Azimqulova Mohinur Ulug’bek qizi, and O‘rolova Marjona Murodilla qizi. In addition, Kurbanov Saddam Anvarovich, a first-year student of the Institute of Foreign Policy and International Economic Relations, who won 1st place in the Uzbekistan Junior Sambo Championship, was awarded a letter of appreciation by the Rector.
Within the framework of the conference, young researchers presented their reports in sections such as “Linguistics,” “Literary Studies,” “History and Philosophy,” and “International Relations.”
