Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Senior Lecturer Begins Teaching in Hungary under Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Programme
On 6 October 2026, PhD Mahliyo Turdikhodjayeva, Senior Lecturer at the Department of History of the Peoples of Central Asia of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, began teaching at Károli Gáspár University in Hungary as part of the Erasmus+ KA171 academic mobility programme.

🏛️ The first lecture within the academic mobility programme was dedicated to the topic “The Mysterious History of Ahsikent: Ancient Urbanization and Cultural Heritage in Central Asia.” During the lecture, students were introduced to the ancient city of Ahsikent, its role in the history of Central Asia, the processes of ancient urbanization, and its unique cultural heritage.
🌍 The session provided an opportunity to introduce Uzbekistan’s rich archaeological and historical heritage to an international audience, exchange ideas with students, and engage in an interactive question-and-answer session.

✨ The lecture was conducted in an engaging and productive atmosphere, generating considerable interest among the students. The session marked a successful beginning of scientific and pedagogical activities within the framework of the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme.
