TSUOS Professor Published a Monograph Dedicated to the 85th Anniversary of Utkir Khoshimov
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the People’s Writer of Uzbekistan, O‘tkir Hoshimov, a monograph entitled “Ötkir Haşimov ve Eserleri: Bir İnceleme ve Tercüme Seçkisi” (O‘tkir Hoshimov and His Works: A Scholarly Study and Selected Translations) by Khayrulla Hamidov, a member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan and Professor at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), has been published in Turkish. The monograph is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the renowned writer’s birth.
The book was published under the general editorship of TSUOS Rector Professor Gulchehra Rikhsiyeva, with a foreword by Professor Abdurahim Mannonov and a concluding note by Muslimbek Yuldoshev, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It includes an analysis of the Turkish translations of Utkir Khoshimov’s works as well as Turkish translations of selected short stories by the author.
The publication of the monograph was carried out in accordance with Presidential Decree No. PF-22 of February 16, 2026, “On the State Program for the Implementation of the Uzbekistan–2030 Strategy,” particularly Objective 39, which promotes the popularization of masterpieces of Uzbek and world literature, the development of reading culture, and the improvement of library and information services. It also fulfills the Resolution No. 121-F of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, adopted on April 1, 2026, on the достойное celebration of the 85th anniversary of Utkir Khoshimov’s birth and the promotion of his literary legacy.
