On October 18, 2026, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies S. A. Nasirova conducted an inspection of the university’s student dormitory to gain a closer understanding of students’ living conditions, listen to their social and everyday concerns, and assess the buildings’ preparedness for the autumn-winter season.

The Rector first visited students’ rooms and held friendly conversations with them, asking about their living conditions, food supplies, and how they spent their time outside class. Students’ suggestions and requests were recorded directly during the discussions. The Rector was accompanied by G. Arifjanov, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work.

On the same day, representatives of the university’s Women’s Committee, deputy deans, and tutors also visited the rented apartments where students reside.

During the visits, the rooms were inspected one by one. Students were reminded to keep their rooms clean, take good care of the available equipment and furnishings, and avoid using devices or substances that could cause carbon monoxide poisoning or fire. They were also advised to maintain cleanliness, order, and proper sanitary and hygienic standards when using shared facilities, including kitchens, dining areas, washrooms, showers, toilets, and clothes-drying rooms.

The Rector also reviewed the infrastructure provided to help students prepare for classes and spend their free time productively. The importance of strictly following the instructions for the proper use of all facilities and equipment was emphasized.

The library, reading room, “Five Initiatives” room, and sports halls, which are currently being re-equipped, were also inspected. In addition, the availability of high-speed internet access for students living in the dormitory was checked.

The sanitary and hygienic condition of the shared kitchens, the proper functioning of gas stoves, and the overall level of cleanliness were assessed as satisfactory.

Following the visit, instructions were given to further enhance the activities of the clubs operating in the student dormitory.
