Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and SOAS University of London Hold a Significant Meeting
Representatives of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies held a meeting with the Director of Partnerships Kanina Foss and the Head of Global Partnerships Nick Rowland of one of London’s leading higher education institutions — SOAS University of London.
During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding mutual academic and research cooperation, as well as developing it on a systematic and sustainable basis.
Key areas of cooperation include:
— Joint seminars on Central Asian studies
Organization of academic events focusing on history, anthropology, religious processes, and contemporary social transformations
— Migration and diaspora studies
Conducting joint research, publishing in reputable journals, and participating in international grant projects
— Joint supervision for doctoral students
Engaging young researchers in the international academic environment
— Short-term research internships
Providing opportunities for SOAS scholars to conduct research in Uzbekistan and for TSUOS representatives to pursue academic activities in London
— Summer and winter schools
Organizing programs on research methodology, academic writing, and research ethics
— Joint degree programs (dual degree)
Developing new programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels
— Academic publications
Collaborative preparation and publication of articles, textbooks, and monographs
