TSUOS Hosted the Scientific and Educational Conference “In Memory of Abulqasim Ferdowsi”
On May 14, 2026, the Higher School of Iranian and Afghan Studies at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies organized a scientific and educational conference entitled “In Memory of Abulqasim Ferdowsi,” dedicated to the great thinker and master of words Abulqasim Ferdowsi.
The event was attended by the university administration, professors, teachers, students, and representatives of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uzbekistan.
During the conference, professors and lecturers of the Higher School of Iranian and Afghan Studies delivered presentations devoted to the epic “Shahnameh,” its artistic, historical, and spiritual significance. In particular, Nodir Nuriddinov, Hasan Safarkhoni, Mohammadreza Aslani, and Oydin Turdiyeva presented reports on Ferdowsi’s творчество, the heroes of the “Shahnameh,” and artistic styles in Iranian literature.
As part of the event, students recited poetic excerpts from Ferdowsi’s works, musical performances were presented, and a quiz titled “Do You Know the Shahnameh?” was organized. In addition, active participants of the “Artistic Styles in Iranian Literature” club were awarded.
The conference contributed to the promotion of masterpieces of classical Eastern literature and helped strengthen young people’s interest in and respect for classical heritage.
