TSUOS Hosted an International Scientific Lecture on Indian Studies
On June 23, 2026, an international academic lecture was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, organized by the Higher School of South Asian Languages and Literature.
The lecture, titled “Changing Trends in Cultural Relations between India and Uzbekistan: Diaspora as an Important Factor,” was delivered by Dr. Anisur Rahman, Professor at the Centre for West Asian Studies of Jamia Millia Islamia University, India.
During the lecture, detailed insights were provided into the historical and cultural ties between India and Uzbekistan, emerging areas of contemporary cooperation, and the role of diaspora communities in strengthening cultural, academic, and social relations between the two countries.
The event served as an engaging platform for scholarly dialogue among faculty members, students, graduate researchers, and academics. At the end of the lecture, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange views on the topic discussed.
