A Discussion on “Peace — the Greatest Blessing” and “Combating Ignorance through Enlightenment” Held at TSUOS
A discussion dedicated to strengthening the spiritual resilience of young people and highlighting the role and importance of enlightenment in further strengthening peace and harmony in society was held at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
The event was organized under the themes “Peace — the Greatest Blessing” and “Combating Ignorance through Enlightenment!” and was attended by Ilhom Marupov, Head of the Information Service and Press Secretary of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that in today’s challenging environment, characterized by various threats and increasing information attacks, raising young people’s awareness and vigilance is a key priority. Through concrete examples, students were informed about the negative consequences of falling under the influence of various destructive ideas, including becoming involved in the activities of illegal and misleading groups. They were also informed that the dissemination of information and materials purported to have religious content without proper understanding may result in legal liability.
The event highlighted that developments in the information space require serious attention. The importance of developing young people’s skills in thoroughly examining information, critically analyzing it, and approaching it with objective judgment was emphasized.
Experts in the field called on young people to rely on educational and credible sources and to contribute to strengthening stability and harmony in society.
