TSUOS Hosted the Scientific and Educational Conference “Following the Teachers: Memories Are Eternal, Life Goes On”
On May 2, 2026, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted a scientific and educational conference entitled “Following the Teachers: Memories Are Eternal, Life Goes On,” dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Professor Xolida Zikrillayevna Alimova of the TSUOS Higher School of Iranian and Afghan Studies.
The event was attended by the university administration, faculty members, representatives of the academic community, students, and colleagues.
The conference was moderated by Nodir Nuriddinov, PhD, Associate Professor and Head of the Higher School of Iranian and Afghan Studies. During the event, special recognition was given to Kholida Alimova’s scientific and pedagogical activities, her dedicated service to Oriental studies—particularly Iranian and Afghan studies—as well as her contribution to educating the younger generation.
A video presentation dedicated to the scholar’s life and academic career was also shown during the conference.
The participants particularly emphasized Kholida Alimova’s scientific legacy, her research in the field of Oriental studies, and her important role in mentoring numerous students and young scholars.
At the end of the event, participants wished the distinguished scholar good health, a long life, and continued success in her academic activities.
