Visit of a Turkish scientist
Ahmet Karaman, head of the Department of Modern Turkish Dialectics and Literature at Afyon Kokatepe University of Turkey, visited the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies on October 26.
The meeting was attended by the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Philology K.Omonov, head of the Turkic Languages Department P. Kenjaeva and Professor of the Department Mustafa Karazeybek, Professor of Classical Philology K.Sadykov and Methodist of the Department of International Cooperation U.Isroilov. During the conversation, the guest spoke about the activities of the Department of Modern Turkish Dialectology and Literature at AfyonKokatepe University, spoke in more detail about the work carried out by the department in the areas of teaching, studying and comparing Uzbek, Uyghur, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Azerbaijani and Caucasian languages. In this regard, the dean of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, K. Omonov, gave detailed information about the activities of the Institute, in particular, the Faculty of Oriental Philology, the development of Turkology and the work of the Department of Turkic Languages.
The issues of establishing future partnerships between TSIOS and Afyon Kokatepe Universities in relevant educational areas and specialties were widely discussed.
