A monograph by Hilola Yuldasheva, a professor at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, was published by a prestigious publishing house in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The monograph titled “The Problem of National Identity in Modern Arabic Literature,” the result of many years of scientific research by Hilola Abdukhaevna Yuldasheva — a scholar of Oriental and Arabic studies and a professor at the Graduate School of Arabic Studies of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies — has been published in Cairo by the prestigious Egyptian publishing house “Maktaba Al-Adab.”
The monograph is dedicated to the artistic expression and interpretation of national identity, cultural codes and traditions, historical memory, and national values in modern Arabic literature, thoroughly investigating the highly relevant issues of preserving contemporary Arabic identity. At the same time, the book scientifically addresses the role of socio-political and cultural processes in fiction, specifically focusing on preserving Arabic national identity under the conditions of globalization and passing it on to future generations.
This monograph was prepared for publication under the scientific editorship of the renowned literary critic and professor at Egypt’s Ain Shams University, Muhammad Al-Jibali. Additionally, a substantial foreword to the book was written by Ali Najjar, a professor at Al-Azhar University.
Notably, the issue of national identity in Arabic literature has been comprehensively researched as a scientific problem for the first time not only in Uzbekistan but also across the Arab world, presented to the Arabic public by Professor Hilola Yuldasheva. Through this monograph, Professor Yuldasheva has become one of the pioneering scholars to introduce the concept of national identity into the literary studies of both Uzbekistan and the Arab states.
