A memorandum of cooperation was signed between TSUOS and Malaysia’s prestigious UTM University within the framework of the international conference.
On May 5, 2026, an international conference titled “Scientific Tradition in Islamic Civilization: Sources, Opportunities and Current Issues” was held at the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan. A delegation from Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies also participated in this prestigious event.
At the beginning of the conference, a video presentation about the activities of the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan was shown.
Afterwards, speeches were delivered by Dr. Muzaffar Kamilov, Head of the Department for Religious and Educational Affairs of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Dr. Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan; Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah of Malaysia; Malaysia’s Minister of Higher Education Datuk Seri Diraja Zambry Abdul Kadir; Uzbekistan’s Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Professor Kongratbay Sharipov; and Professor Dr. Alparslan Açıkgenç of Ibn Haldun University in Türkiye.
At the end of the conference, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
