The opening ceremony of the international scientific-practical conference “Alisher Navoi in the context of world orientalists” is currently taking place at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The conference was organized according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 19, 2020 No PQ-4865 “On the celebration of the 580th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi.”The opening speech has been provided by the Rector of TSUOS Gulchehra Rikhsiyeva.
We would like to mention that more than fifteen countries, including Uzbekistan, the United States, France, Sweden, Hungary, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran and Afghanistan are participating in the international conference. 130 speakers will speak on behalf of each university and organization, and representatives of the diplomatic corps of foreign countries in Uzbekistan will address the event with congratulatory speeches.
