On July 15-16, 2021, “Central and South Asia: regional interdependence” will be held in Tashkent. An international conference on “Threats and opportunities” was held. Students of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies actively served foreign guests as volunteer translators at this conference.
The role and power of our unique and inimitable intangible assets in preserving identity, occupying a worthy position and delivering to the next generations in the virtual digital world, which is increasingly covering the world community, is incomparable. It is gratifying that this force is stepping up to the world arena as a reunifying factor for not only the peoples of Central Asia but also the peoples of South Asia and the Afghan people, who are the “bridge” connecting these two regions. In addition, the presentation of some threats, problems and research and solutions related to them is on the agenda. Regional financial cooperation, the creation of creative and economic infrastructures, the establishment of the cultural and touristic exchange system, and the acceleration of research in the field of science and education depend on the agreement of the regional governments at the highest level. On the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who developed the strategy for these goals, the conference “Central and South Asia” was held in Tashkent on July 15-16. Regional interdependence, 180 representatives of leaders and high-ranking representatives of the countries of the two regions, parliamentary delegations from 15 countries, delegations of foreign political offices from 37 countries, heads of 29 international organizations and financial institutions, and working and expert groups from 44 countries attended the international conference on “Threats and Opportunities”.
About 400 volunteer students studying in universities of our country, who mastered foreign languages, participated in the preparations for this high-level conference and during the conference. In particular, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS), World Economy and Diplomacy University (UWED), Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (UzSWLU), and the National University of Uzbekistan (NUU) were assigned this honourable task.
