Activities of the Public Council
Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies has a policy of assigning the rights of professors and staff to third parties. This policy is developed in the Regulations on the organization of the activities of the Public council at the university.
Ensuring the health of the social and spiritual environment between teachers and students through the introduction of effective public control in the educational process, the development of higher education through the elimination of existing problems, the development of healthy competition between teachers, education through public control. The main goals of the Public council are to promote the quality and scientific potential, as well as the rise of creative culture to a new level.
The Public Council performs the following functions:
- monitors the observation of the principles of social justice in the social protection of professors and other employees and the awarding of prizes, taking into consideration the fair and conscientious performance of their duties, active participation in public affairs, spiritual and educational activities;
- appoints a representative from among its members to participate in all types of meetings related to the activities of the higher education institution, faculty, and students (dismissal or expulsion of students);
- supervises the creation of conditions for professors and teachers to conduct research, social protection of candidates, doctoral dissertations, rewarding those who are actively engaged in scientific work throughout the year, achieving good results, work with those who are slow;
- analyzes professors’ teachers’ monographs, and textbooks, on a contract basis and pays them on time.
In particular, from August 15, 2022, the Public Council of TSUOS started its activities. Preparation for the new academic year and signing the employment contract for the new academic year are discussed with professors and teachers of the university departments.
