In the 2024-2025 academic year, 16 professors are working at the Higher School of Korean Studies. 2 of them are Doctors of science, professors, 8 PhDs (5 associate professors, 1 senior teacher), 2 teachers and 4 assistant teachers. 2 foreign PhDs and 1 teacher are working in the higher school. The scientific potential of the Higher School is 59%. The Higher School has specialties 60230100 – Philology and language teaching (on oriental languages), 70230101 – Linguistics (on oriental languages), 70230104 – Literary studies. Students at the Higher School are winners of sever international and famous state scholarships, including the Navoi State Scholarship, the Rector’s Scholarship named after Ogahi. Students studying in the field have shown high performance in the republic-wide competition for the science Olympiad of the Korean language. They are active participants in the selection of essays held in Central Asia and internationally. According to the cooperation agreements concluded between the Higher School of Korean Studies and the prestigious higher education institutions of the Republic of Korea, students have the opportunity to study abroad based on an educational grant. A branch of 60230100 – Philology and language teaching (oriental languages) was established by the Higher School of Korean Studies at Urganch State University. Every academic year, the professors and teachers at the Higher School teach the students studying at this branch in specialized subjects. At the same time, master classes are being held.
