Scientific and educational event dedicated to “International Arabic Language Day” at TSUOS
On the occasion of “18th December – International Arabic Language Day”, a scientific and educational event was organized by the professors, masters and students of the departments of “Arabic philology” and “Classical philology and literary source studies” on the topic “Arabic studies in Uzbekistan: history, present and future” at TSUOS.
Within the framework of this event, the Chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations and Tourism of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan R.Alimov, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Arab countries such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Sultanate of Oman, Algeria, and representatives of Embassy in Uzbekistan visited the university.
As part of the event, an exhibition of examples of Arabic writing and calligraphy and creative works made by university students was organized.
Also, the university students played the roles of scholars who made a great contribution to the development of world science and demonstrated their knowledge and skills in the Arabic language. The play, skillfully staged in Arabic, showed the level of knowledge of the Arabic language among the students of our university.
At the end of the event, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Arab countries such as Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Sultanate of Oman, Algeria to Uzbekistan, and representatives of the embassy in Uzbekistan highly appreciated the students’ language skills, and in the near future TSUOS and Arabic countries will be among the advanced higher education institutions.
