Provide mentoring, counselling, or peer support programmes to support students, staff, and faculty from underrepresented groups.
The primary organization of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies has 11 areas, which are constantly coordinated by members of the Student Council of the university. In addition, each faculty has their own leader, who is part of the primary organization.
The main task of the primary organization of the Youth Union at the institute is to help students get an education and integrate into the social life of the university.
The development of a system of student self-governance allows students to implement student initiatives at the university, creates favorable conditions for gaining additional professional skills and creative potential in creating new projects, teaches teamwork and, of course, assimilates university traditions from graduating students to new students.
The university also has a trade union committee to support faculty, staff, and students. In accordance with the provisions of Section 10 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, entitled “Occupational Safety”, the Employer fulfills the following obligations under Occupational Safety. These are:
The employer has been creating working conditions at the university that meet safety and hygiene requirements.
Ensuring that dust, pollution, noise, and vibration are normalized in the workplace and that the weather, humidity regime, and lighting in the workplace are normal.
Strict attention is paid to the passporting and attestation of workplaces in accordance with the rules of working conditions and protection.
The Trade Union Committee has fulfilled the following obligations in terms of social benefits and guarantees:
- Financial support was provided to union members in need of social protection, and low-income and large families working at the university.
