A roundtable discussion on “Priority Tasks for Ensuring Gender Equality and Empowering Women” was held at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis
The Senate of the Oliy Majlis hosted a roundtable dedicated to Goal 5 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development — achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. The event was held under the theme “Priority Tasks for Ensuring Gender Equality and Empowering Women.”
During the event, participants discussed in detail issues related to ensuring gender equality, expanding women’s rights and opportunities, and increasing their participation in social, political and economic life.
The event was also attended by the university Rector G. Rikhsiyeva, who exchanged views on issues related to ensuring women’s access to education, their professional development, active participation in public administration, and equal opportunities.
The roundtable also featured proposals and opinions on priority tasks in ensuring gender equality and expanding women’s rights and opportunities, as well as existing challenges and effective ways to address them.
