Roundtable talk on “The Armed Forces of Uzbekistan – a guarantee of our peace and security.”
On January 10 at the Faculty of Oriental Philology of Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies was held a round table talk on “January 14 – Defender of the Fatherland Day” and the Day of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan “Armed Forces of Uzbekistan – a guarantee of peace and security.” The dean of the faculty prof. K. Omonov opened the meeting with an introductory speech and congratulated everyone on the holiday.
Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Border Troops of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Colonel H. Sadullaev, members of the Council, Colonel S. Temirov and Colonel A. Pulatov, who attended the event, spoke about the security and stability of our country the enormous work on the establishment of a modern, mobile, well-armed army capable of effectively solving the tactical and strategic tasks of ensuring the inviolability of its borders is systematic and today, Uzbekistan has its own modern, compact and mobile, well-armed national army,which is able to reliably protect the stability and security of our country, the inviolability of our borders,the peace and tranquility of our people as well as the hostilities of the Uzbeks in the International Army in the 80s,the participants of the meeting highlighted in detail the fact that the borders of our country are in safe hands.
They also showed a documentary “Uzbekistan does not forget the brave men.” The conversation continued with a question-and-answer session between military veterans and students of the institute. The guests were presented with souvenirs by the administration of the institute.
