The Strategic Development and Transformation Department is a structural unit of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies
The department develops proposals for the university’s development strategy based on the experience of foreign universities that hold high positions in international rankings.
The department organizes the activities of all units within its structure and studies and analyzes the university’s development dynamics.
Department structure:
- Academic and Methodological Department;
- Students Internship and Career Center.
Functional Responsibilities of the Department:
To develop sustainability initiatives at the university level and monitor their implementation, ensuring the university’s goals align with international sustainability standards.
- To ensure the implementation and monitor compliance with the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan on education, Presidential Decrees, Orders, Resolutions, Decrees of the Cabinet of Ministers, Board Decisions, orders, guidelines, modemograms, and phonograms of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, as well as the Rector’s orders on activities of the Strategic Development and Transformation Department at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
- To ensure the implementation of regulatory documents, methodological guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, as well as the decisions of the University Council on academic matters, the Rector’s instructions, and the assignments of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
- To identify the main directions for transforming Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies by studying the experience of prestigious foreign partner universities and develop measures for growth based on the modern concept of Oriental studies.
- To manage transformation processes in the university’s development, expand opportunities for international cooperation, and introduce modern technologies and advanced methods.
- To establish partnerships with prestigious foreign higher education institutions, participate in joint educational programs and scientific research projects, and attract international grants and projects.
- To develop curricula and programs that meet modern educational requirements, align academic programs with practical experience, and train specialists according to employer needs.
- To improve the university’s management system, strengthen cooperation between departments, and utilize modern management tools in administrative processes.
- To enhance and develop the activities of the department and its structural units.
- To monitor the process of achieving the university’s development strategy, analyze its outcomes, and provide management with reports to support decision-making.
- To submit information and reports related to the department’s activities to the Ministry and other relevant organizations in accordance with established procedures.
- To strengthen the university’s internal and external image, develop marketing strategies, and expand student recruitment opportunities by promoting the university brand.
- To comply with the employer’s lawful orders and directives.
