TSUOS IS ESTABLISHING COOPERATION WITH THE FAMOUS AIN SHAMS UNIVERSITY
The delegation of the University of Oriental Studies visited the oldest educational institution with a history of 2700 years – Ain Shams University.
The university has 19 faculties, more than 11,000 professors, more than 155,000 undergraduate students, more than 25,000 undergraduates and doctoral students. More than 10,000 of them are international students.
To date, the university has 26 joint educational programs.
Scientific research is carried out on 259 research projects.
The university is ranked 2nd in the national rankings, 797th in QS, 701st in ARWU, 998th in THE.
At the meeting, the Rector of the University Prof. Mahmoud Al-Maini and G. Rikhsiyeva agreed on cooperation in the following areas:
Organization of the exchange of students and teachers in the field of Arabic, Arabic studies, translation studies, training of translators, study of manuscripts, study of oriental languages, tourism; joint publication of articles in prestigious scientific journals, creation and implementation of joint scientific projects in history and philology, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, turkologist prof. Magda Makhlouf noted that Uzbekistan is a country of scientists and deserves special recognition for it’s rich history and cultural heritage. She gifted the book “Baburname” translated from turkish into arabic to the TSUOS library. In turn, G. Rikhsiyeva spoke about the possibility of implementing joint scientific projects at the Research center for the study of eastern culture and heritage at TSUOS.
G. Rikhsiyeva invited the rector of Ain-Shams University and Arabic language experts to the “World Forum of Arabic Scholars” which is planned to be held in Tashkent in 2023.
