An International Academic and Practical Conference Held at TSUOS במסגרת the II International Forum of Turkologists
On October 16, 2026, an international academic and practical conference was held as part of the II International Forum of Turkologists, organized jointly by Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University of Türkiye. The conference was entitled “The Turkic World: New Horizons and Prospects for Scientific Research.”
The conference aimed to promote an in-depth study of the rich scientific and cultural heritage of Turkic peoples, advance contemporary research in Turkology, and further strengthen international academic relations.
During the conference, participants exchanged views on the historical, spiritual, and cultural heritage of the Turkic world; current issues in the study of Turkic languages and literature; contemporary research in Turkology; emerging academic fields; and prospects for future cooperation. Particular attention was paid to research findings in these areas, existing challenges and possible solutions, as well as the introduction of modern approaches to academic and research activities.
Special attention was given to expanding international academic cooperation, strengthening ties between higher education institutions in brotherly countries, and supporting young researchers. In particular, proposals were put forward to organise a similar international academic event for students of higher education institutions across the Turkic world next year, in cooperation with partner universities.
The academic discussions held within the framework of the forum provided an important platform for gaining a deeper understanding of the shared historical and cultural roots of Turkic peoples, expanding the exchange of academic expertise in Turkology, and developing cooperation between higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
The conference is significant for its contribution to strengthening international academic cooperation, encouraging young researchers to engage more actively in Turkological studies, and identifying new prospects for scientific research on the Turkic world.
