Voluntary activities of students
The awarding ceremony of the global award “For outstanding achievements in the fight against corruption”, established by the initiative of the Emir of Qatar, was held in Tashkent in December 2023. Students from TSUOS were selected as volunteers at this ceremony and they accompanied a number of Arab officials as interpreters. For example, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Oriental Philology and Translation Studies Obidjonov Azizbek was responsible for Mr. Khatim Fuad Ali Mohamed, who was from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the regional chairman of the UN for the Gulf countries, a 4th-year student from the Faculty of Oriental Philology and Translation Studies Holjuraev Mohamedrizo accompanied Mr. Ahmad Nasir Al-Fadala, the Secretary General of the Advisory Council of the State of Qatar. Al-Aydin Abdulla Ali Yusef General Secretary of the Administrative Control Authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt was accompanied by a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Oriental Philology and Translation Studies Ikromjanov Ilyosbek.
After the ceremony, monetary awards were presented on behalf of the university to all students who translated on behalf of TSUOS.
