A series of lectures on the history of Japan
From January 16 to January 22, 2020, a number of lectures on the history of Japan were held in the walls of the TSIOS. The lectures are aimed at deepening the knowledge of Japanese language, culture and history, as well as broadening the worldview of students. Lectures were delivered by Professor Onuma Takahiro (professor at the Department of Literary Studies at Touhoku University, Japan) on the history of relations between Japan and other countries in the post-war period; History of Japan in the Middle Ages; The civilization of Japan during the Meiji period; These lectures were attended by 1,2,3,4-year students of the Department of Japanese Philology of the Faculty of Japanese Studies, head of the department of international cooperation A. Mukhsinov, dean of the faculty of Japanese studies E. Matchanov, head of the department N. Khalmirzaeva, associate professor of the department Sugano Reiko, as well as all professors -the teaching staff of the Department of Japanese Philology. The total number of participants in the lecture was about 40 people. The lectures discussed the spread of the Japanese language, Japanese-Taiwanese relations, culture, history, language problems in the Middle Ages, social changes during the Meiji period. After the lectures, students’ questions in Japanese were heard by the professors . At the end of the lecture course, the dean of the Faculty of Japanese Studies E. Matchanov presented a diploma of gratitude to the professor on behalf of the rector G. Rixsieva.
