The head of TIKA visited TSUOS
Today, on February 10, 2021, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies hosted a meeting . Rector of TSUOS G.Sh.Rikhsiyeva, Head of TIKA Turkey Cemalettin Tuney, Counselor for Education of the Turkish Embassy in Uzbekistan Ali Eyyupkoca, Counselor for Tourism and Culture of the Turkish Embassy in Uzbekistan Alparslan Akinci , professors and students of the Faculty of Turkic Studies of the University participated in this event.
The event was opened by the rector of the university G.Sh. Rikhsiyeva, who introduced the participants to the representatives of the partner organization and reiterated that she is pleased to work with them.
During the meeting, the head of TIKA’s office in Uzbekistan highlighted the importance of the only faculty of Turkology opened at the university last year. Cemalettin Tuney praised University’s efforts to strengthen academic ties between the two countries.
By the end of the meeting about 1,000 modern scientific and educational books on Turkology were donated by TIKA representatives to the Faculty Library.
