From February 23 to March 2, 2021, the International Week of Japanese Studies will be held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies

The week will feature special online lectures by professors from Japanese universities, an international forum on Japanese studies, a conference of TSUOS students and Japanese students, oratory in Japanese and ikebana.

The two-day international forum on Japanese studies is organized in collaboration with the University of Tsukuba in the eastern part of the country and has four branches. 40 Japanese scientists from seven countries are expected to speak at the forum. Among them are Japanese scientists from the Universities of Tsukuba, Waseda, Nagoya, Toyo and Aichi Shukutoku in Japan, the University of Hanoi in Vietnam, Kazan, St. Petersburg and Moscow State Universities, the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, Tabatabai University in Iran.

The two-day TSUOS and Japan Student Forum will feature undergraduate and doctoral presentations from University of Tsukuba, Nagoya University of Economics, Aichi University, Toyo University, and Tokyo University of Foreign Languages. In addition, students from Japan’s partner universities will participate as listeners.

During the week, 3 professors from the Universities of Tsukuba and Kansai will deliver a series of online lectures for students of the Faculty of Japanese Studies of the TSUOS.
