Employment practice
Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies has an employment practice of paying all staff and faculty at least a living wage, defined as the local living wage or the local financial poverty line (expressed as an hourly wage) for a family of four.
Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies provides all faculty and staff with a monthly salary in accordance with the definition, depending on the type of work, position, rate, hours, and contribution to the development of the university.
The collective bargaining agreement is entitled “Remuneration. Chapter 5, “Guaranteed Payments, Compensation Payments”:
In accordance with paragraph 52, wages are paid in the manner prescribed by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
Terms of payment of wages in accordance with paragraph 53:
For the first half of the month on the 18th of the current month;
for the second half of the month on the 5th of the following month.
Also, in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan №1030 in December 24, 2019 “On the procedure for paying additional remuneration to employees with scientific degrees engaged in scientific, scientific-pedagogical and labor activities in state organizations in the field of science and education”, it is determined to plan the number of funds of the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan to finance the expenses related to the payment of additional fees. According to it, an additional fee in the amount of 30% of the salary of employees with a doctor of philosophy degree and an additional fee of 60% of the salary of an employee with a doctor of science degree was paid.
The recruitment of pedagogues to Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies is carried out in accordance with the university regulations. The regulation determines the procedure for hiring pedagogues at Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
The purpose of admission of pedagogic personnel to the university on a competitive basis is to train specialists with deep professional knowledge and scientific achievements, creative and scientific potential, high intellectual abilities, and moral qualities at the level of modern requirements. The goal is to create and ensure a competitive environment for selecting the most qualified new pedagogic personnel.
