As part of the health and well-being policy of TSUOS, a number of sports opportunities have been created for the organization of a healthy lifestyle for students. In particular, a sports hall was established not only in the university building but also in the building of the student residence in order to organize students’ free time in a fun and more efficient way. It has all the facilities, and students can do sports using all the facilities at any time. Moreover, trainers are attached for students to practice in tennis, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics and a number of other sports. “Rector’s Cup” among students in football, volleyball, basketball, chess, athletics and table tennis, sports competitions among young teachers and students under the slogan “Sports-Health Pledge”, including fitness, aerobics and shaping, table tennis are popularized every year, inter-faculty spartaki is held in the student residence with the participation of teachers and students. In addition, in order to increase the physical activity of students, the university organizes and hosts various sports competitions among students and faculties. In particular, a running competition called “Marathon at the University” was held as part of the “Festival of Spring” of Oriental Studies students in order to encourage young students to be interested in sports and a healthy lifestyle.
The following places were recorded in the boys’ marathon:
- 1st place: Esonov Otabek – Evening and part-time department;
- 2nd place: Obidov Bilol – faculty of Tourism;
- 3rd place: Gulboyev Salahiddin – Faculty of Japanese Studies.
The following places were recorded in the girls’ marathon:
- 1st place: Sobirova Mohichehra – Faculty of Turkic Studies;
- 2nd place: Moyedinova Gulmigorkhan – Faculty of Oriental Philology and Translation Studies;
- 3rd place: Bakhtiyorjonova Zumradhon – Faculty of Japanese Studies
