Teaching foreign languages in the context of sustainable development
On October 17 and 18, 2023, a scientific and practical conference on “Teaching foreign languages in the context of Sustainable Development: Advanced Technologies, problems and opportunities” was held by the Department of “Western languages” at Tashkent state university of oriental studies. Canadian, English teacher at Inha University in Tashkent Louis Train; Indian, teacher at the International University of Westminster in Tashkent Dr. Gunjan Jain; French, Infinity Play Unity Association teacher Dr. Larusa Marginas; Spanish, teacher at Complutense de Madrid University PhD. Jaime García Solana; from Egypt, at the University of the Socotra Archipelago, the dean of the faculty Hamdi Eltantawi and other teachers-professors gave lectures in the following branches within the framework of the 4th part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals plan, i.e. improving the quality of education:
- Global problems in language education;
- Modern approaches and innovative models of teaching;
- Linguistics, speech analysis, and related fields;
- New trends in the study of foreign languages in teaching;
- Education and international cooperation in the teaching of foreign languages.
