Development of Korean Studies in Uzbekistan: An Overview of Linguistic Research
On November 20, 2021, on the ZOOM platform, an open international online lecture was held by the Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Korean Philology of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies Natalya Dek-henovna Kim on the lecture “Development of Korean Studies in Uzbekistan: an overview of linguistic research”.
The lecture is intended for undergraduates, undergraduates, doctoral students and faculty involved in the study of Korean linguistics. The open online lecture was attended by the Candidate of Philological Sciences, Head of the Department of Translation of Oriental Languages of the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Abylai Khan Dzheldybayeva Raushan Baskenovna, Doctor of Philology, Professor Pak Nelly Sergeevna, Director of the Center for Korean Studies of the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after A. Abylai Khan, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Professor Khan Nelly Chanirovna, doctoral students, undergraduates and students.
Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies was represented by: Head of the Department of Korean Philology, Doctor of Philology, Professor Saydazimova Umida Turakhanovna, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Associate Professor Kim Tatyana Sergeevna, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Yunusova Gulshoda Dilshadovna and other young specialists of the Department of Korean Philology, applicants, doctoral students, undergraduates and students.
In his scientific report, Prof. N. D. Kim presented an overview of the linguistic research carried out in Korean linguistics in recent years. Currently, the development of Korean studies is attracting a lot of attention from foreign researchers. Korean Studies in Uzbekistan is developing in all directions, including linguistics. In recent years, a large number of educational and scientific literature on the Korean Language and linguistics has been published.
