Meeting with prof. Azamat Ziyo, the director of the Institute of History at Academy of Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On January 16, 2020, the meeting was held at the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the TSIOS with prof. Azamat Ziyo, the director of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In her opening speech, the rector of the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies G.Sh. Rixsiyeva paid particular attention to the development of cooperation issues with this institute, reported about the events carried out within the framework of cooperation, highlighted about the necessity of strengthening the scientific cooperation, and also included the relevance of the training of qualified cadres, specialists and orientalist historiographers and historians.
Then the speech was followed by the director of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Azamat Ziyo, who spoke about the activities of the Institute of History in details, its plans for the future, the problem of periodization of history itself, the creation of a true history of Central Asia based on sources written in oriental languages, which, in turn, leads to a high demand and relevance of training for qualified specialists with knowledge of oriental languages. Azamat Ziyo also touched on the questions of opening the departments at the Institute of History of History to study various periods of the history of eastern nation, on ethnology, as well as issues of cooperation through implementation of various scientific projects in future.
During the event, important tasks in the field of cooperation between the two organizations were discussed, including the integration of science and education; the organization of student practice in the territory of the Institute of history by studying a new and the recent history of Eastern countries. Especially, there were discussed about the involvement of highly qualified specialists in the educational process, the development and implementation of joint research projects, the joint training of qualified specialists, the organization of joint scientific seminars and conferences on pressing issues. Following the discussion between the leadership of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute, an agreement was reached to hold joint scientific meetings, to jointly create a research base for students, undergraduates and doctoral students, to prepare coordinators for coordinating the work of practitioners, and to develop a roadmap for cooperation in the field of training cadres.
The round table were attended by Sh. Rakhmatullaev, Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, A. Ashurov, D. Ziyaeva, Sh. Raҳmatullyev, A. Otakhujayev, Director of the State Museum of History Temurids H. Fayzyiev, Vice Rector for Science and Innovation at the TSIOS N. Abdullayev, Dean of the Faculty of History and Philosophy Z. Kodirov, department heads, professors, researchers, undergraduates and students who received information on cooperation between the two institutions and received answers to their questions as well.
