An international scientific conference on the topic “Ethno-Historical Processes of the Peoples of Central Asia” was held at TSUOS
On October 25, 2024, an international scientific conference on the topic “Ethno-Historical Processes of the Peoples of Central Asia” was held at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
The conference was dedicated to the possibilities of developing ethno-tourism in Central Asia and gathered over 50 specialists from more than 15 countries in both offline and online formats. Issues discussed at the conference included ethno-tourism, the preservation and promotion of historical and cultural heritage, local cuisine and hospitality traditions, as well as the global promotion of the rich cultural and historical heritage of the peoples of Central Asia.
Within the framework of four sections, scholars, specialists, and researchers participated with scientific presentations and exchanged views on the role of cultural heritage in Central Asia in developing tourism, the importance of natural landscapes and ancient sites, and the prospects for international cooperation in promoting ethno-tourism.
During the conference, lively debates were held, new theoretical approaches were discussed, and prospects for future scientific research were outlined. At the end of the meeting, participants agreed to expand cooperation in implementing various scientific projects and to continue exchanging experiences.
