The International Rankings Department is a structural unit within Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. The department coordinates the university’s collaboration with international ranking organizations, working closely with the university’s departments, faculty, and staff to facilitate participation and engagement in these rankings.
In its operations, the department engages in collaboration with all structural units of the university, including institutes, faculties, high schools, departments, as well as foreign higher education institutions, organizations, and centers. Key activities include:
- Establishing and maintaining cooperation with organizations that publish international rankings;
- Developing a program for the development of the department;
- Ensuring control over international ranking indicators;
- Continuously monitoring parameters that influence the university’s international ranking indicators;
- Collecting data for the university’s profile on the portal of QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), an international ranking agency;
- Gathering information across TSUOS institutes, faculties, high schools, and departments for participation in international rankings;
- Creating the university profile on the Times Higher Education (THE) portal and preparing necessary data for participation in the Impact and World Rankings;
- Collecting documents related to “Academic reputation” and “Employer reputation” indicators;
- Conducting statistical analysis of foreign faculty, PhD, and specialists, as well as local and international students at the university.
