Department of international rankings of Tashkent state university of oriental studies performs the following tasks:

  • Develops a plan of cooperation and determines the main directions on the basis of agreements with organizations that publish international rankings;
  • Provides relevant suggestions to the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the University on raising the international ranking of the University;
  • Cooperation with international ranking agencies and ranking agencies assists university faculties, departments and divisions in the implementation of projects;
  • Prepares quarterly, semi-annual, nine-month and annual reports on the University’s cooperation with international ranking agencies and submits them to the university monitoring department for approval by the university administration and submits them to the relevant organizations and agencies;
  • Within the activities of the department to organize activities in other areas of raising the international ranking of the University, to review the relevant documents and prepare proposals.

The department performs the following functions in order to perform the tasks assigned to it:

  • Work directly with international ranking agencies, rating agencies, local and international experts, consultants and experts;
  • Inviting international ranking agencies, local and international experts, consultants and experts to the university, as well as organizing and ensuring the participation of university experts in foreign events, roundtables, international forums and conferences, and preparation of relevant documents;
  • Planning and implementation of the University’s entry into the TOP 1000 of the internationally recognized QS and THE World University Rankings;
  • Aggregate monitoring and coordination of information related to the international ranking of the university, identification and control of the university’s contribution to the international ranking of faculties and departments;
  • Regular monitoring of the parameters affecting the international ranking of the University and familiarizing the university administration, faculty, departments and divisions with the requirements of the international ranking system;
  • Preparation of statistical reports to calculate the number of national and foreign professors (DCs and PhD) and independent researchers and students working at the University;
  • Performs other functions in accordance with the legislation.
