Informational letter
On November 21, 2020, the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies will hold an international scientific and practical conference “Uzbekistan-China: Development of Historical, Cultural, Scientific and Economic Ties.”
Organizers of the conference: Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and the Uzbek-Chinese Confucius institute at TSUOS.
Aims and objectives of the conference:
Sharing experience in innovation and new developments in science and education in Uzbekistan and China.
Exchange of knowledge and views on philology, philosophy, history, economics, sociolinguistics, linguistics, theory and practice of translation in Chinese studies;
Further developing of international scientific relations between Uzbekistan and China; Exploring the prospective relations between Uzbekistan and China, identifying practical proposals in this sphere;
Coordination of scientific researches in The Chinese Studies, training of young scientists;
Identifying scientific topics in cooperation on current issues in China, as well as proposals for new scientific projects on an international scale;
The conference will be held in the following sections:
- Linguistics and innovative teaching methods.
- History, philosophy and culture.
- Translation, literature and source studies.
- New perspectives in economic relations.
The order of holding the conference:
November 21, 2020 09:00 – registration
November 21, 2020 10:00 – official opening
November 21, 2020 12:00 – presentation of reports and their discussion
November 21, 2020 17:00 – summing up the conference, awarding certificates and closing the conference.
Conference form: face-to-face.
Form of participation in the conference: plenary, sectional, video and audio report, stand (board) report, participation in the discussion.
Conditions of participation in the conference:
To participate in the conference until September 10, 2020, must be sent the following materials to the organizing committee electronically:
- Application (in form in Annex 1). The document containing the application is saved as: Surname, initials (application).doc.
- 9×14 photo in jpg format: Surname, initials. Jpg
- Report (prepared according to the requirements of Annex 2) – the document containing the article is saved as: Surname, initials (article).doc.
- Video report (duration 5-10 minutes) – presentation of the main content of the report; formed as: Surname, initials (video report).mp4
Reports are selected by the organizing committee and the authors of the reports are informed by e-mail of participation in the conference as reporters.
Participants will be able to obtain two certificates: for the report and for their active participation in the discussion of the conference materials.
Conference working languages: Uzbek, Russian, Chinese, English
The electronic publication of the conference book is planned for October 2020.
Publication is free.

Technical requirements for the presentation of the report text:
Editor: Microsoft Word. Time New Roman, size -14.
The size of the page is A4, the orientation of the book sheet. The margins of the page:
The top is 2 cm; Lower – 2 cm; Left – 3cm; Right – 2 cm.
Indent: Left-0; Sparva-0; First line-1.25.
Paragraph interval: Before -0; After-0; Interline interval -1.15.
The first paragraph of the article: centered, in capital letters, bold font – Full title of the article.
The second paragraph of the article: on the right edge – Name and surname of author (co-authors).
Third paragraph of the article: on the right edge – the full name of the school.
Fourth paragraph: on the right edge is the author’s email address.
Fifth paragraph: width – Brief abstract in Uzbek, English and Russian languages (4-6 lines).
Sixth paragraph: width – Keywords in Uzbek, English and Russian (3-5).
The text of the article: alignment – by width.
The numbering of pages is not set. The “transfer” feature is not used.
Italic is used for text relief.
References are given within the text in brackets modeled as: [1,21].
The full list of sources, showing the total number of pages on which the articles are located, is given at the end of the work in alphabetical order under the “Used Literature” label. This list includes only the literature quoted in the article. First, sources in Uzbek and Russian languages are listed, and then sources in other foreign languages are listed. Electronic sources are given after original (paper) sources (also in alphabetical order).
The volume of the article is at least 5-10 pages of The A4 format.
