An event was organized at TSUOS on the occasion of Librarians’ Day
PQ-4354 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 7, 2019 “On further improvement of information and library services to the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan” at the Information Resource Center of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies on May 21, 2022 A solemn event “May 21 – the Day of Librarians of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was held in accordance with the Resolution No. The event was attended by the rector of the university G.Rikhsieva, vice-rector for academic affairs A.Vakhidov, chairman of the trade union Ch.Khusanov, deans of faculties, director of the IRC M.Yuldasheva and all employees of the center.
In her introductory speech, the Rector of the University G.Rikhsieva congratulated all employees on their professional holiday and noted the role and importance of the University Information Resource Center in the current period of development, the state’s and society’s attention to librarianship, the hard work of librarians and their spoke about his contribution to education.
During the event, a number of librarians and veterans of labor, who have worked effectively for many years at the IRC, were awarded certificates of honor by the rector of the university and the order of financial incentives was read to them.
